Onomatopoeia:
a word which describes a sound that is made.

The reason I chose this song was for it's overuse of sounds such as MMMBop, Ba do Bop, etc. Writers used this term, I find, to fill in space. However sometimes these words may give the song, novel or poem the extra effect needed. In this sorry excuse for a song Hanson seems to use them due to their lack of having nothing else to say.

Oh so hold on the ones who really care
In the end they'll be the only ones there
When you get old and start losing your hair
Can you tell me who will still care
Can you tell me who will still care, oh care

Mmmbop, ba du ba dop
Ba du bop, ba du ba dop
Ba du bop, ba du ba dop
Ba du
Mmmbop, ba du ba dop
Ba du bop, Ba du dop
Ba du bop, Ba du dop
Ba du

Plant a seed, plant a flower, plant a rose
You can plant any one of those
Keep planting to find out which one grows
It's a secret no one knows
It's a secret no one knows
(repeat chorus)
